Hello, I'm Reed Daigle.

Welcome to my photography portfolio.
Bienvenue. いらっしゃい。

My interest in photography started when I finished high school. My mother gave me her Canon AE-1, which she bought the year I was born, as a graduation gift. I began to tinker around and took quite a few horrible pictures along the way. My only formal photography training was in my film classes at the University of New Orleans, one of which was a course on cinematography. Otherwise, it's been trial and error, along with photography books and magazines. I now shoot primarily with a Canon Kiss X2 DSLR, but I still love film as well.

Sometime in early 2003, I started to do freelance photography work. I've done photography for a few musicians, a couple of weddings, portraits, and have had a few small gallery showings. And since August 2008, some of my photography is available at several microstock agencies.

I currently live in the New Orleans area. I work on movies. I write and do freelance photography between movie gigs. If you are looking for some photography work, please contact me via e-mail.

Please look around, leave comments, and say hello. Let me know what you think. And of course, if you see something you like, you can purchase prints or other merchandise, all handled by SmugMug.

By the way, if you are a photographer, and are interested in setting up a site with SmugMug, you can save yourself $5 by using this promo code: 8G74doje6xX6I

Also, please visit my main site: http://www.bruised-reed.com, where you can see a couple of my short films and link to my blog. You can also be my friend at: myspace.com/daiglevision

Thank you for visiting.
